Few days ago, an un-retouched photo of the almost 49-year old American model Cindy Crawford was leaked on the Internet. Many people and media talk about it without showing the difference between the real vs photoshopped Cindy Crawford. At Peanuts Daily, we wanted to show you the reality of models, fashion and magazines such as Marie Claire. Indeed, they sell you dreams. They don’t sell you reality but artificial characters done by softwares.
We had the chance to meet Arnaud de Contades, one of the main editors of Marie Claire:
You can think what you want but Cindy is still one of the most beautiful models at Marie Claire. The other ones are at least 100 kilograms and are more than 70 years-old. It does not matter how they look like in reality. We take the pictures and after we change everything on Photoshop. Our goal is to make our readers believe they can be as beautiful and skinny as a fake picture. We work closely with plastic surgeons around the world and take commissions. More customers they have, more money we get. This is as simple as that.
Therefore, if you want to look as beautiful as any model you see on magazines, you don’t need to pay expensive Weight Watchers regimes or pay plastic surgeons. Spend your money at fast foods eating burgers and drinking coke. Then, take a picture of yourself and use some Instagram or Photoshop filters. Work is done! You can now apply for a job as a Marie Claire model.
